Rose E. (Pollak) Mudd, age 88, of Clifton, passed away on September 5, 2014. Born in Arcadia, MO to Theresa and Charles Pollak, she came to NJ in 1937 and has lived in Clifton since 1952. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband O. Jere, in 1982. Rose is survived by her devoted children, Terese Jones and her husband David of Lecanto, FL, Michael and his wife Deborah of Hobe Sound, FL, Marie Brennan and her husband Chas of Glendale, AZ, Elizabeth Waltich and her husband Mark of Clifton, and Paul and his wife Jennifer of Montville. Her precious grandchildren are Danielle, David and Peter Jones, Michael Mudd and his wife Bethany, Laura and Christine Mudd, Kyle and Colin Brennan, Matthew, Jeremy and Rebecca Mudd. Caitlyn Jones is her beloved great-granddaughter. Her sisters, Josephine Ritchie and Catherine Falcone, sister-in-law Lucille Mudd and long-loving friend Emily Bielsten survive her. Rose was employed by the Passaic County Office on Aging as Nutrition Site Manager at Triboro Senior Citizen Center, W. Paterson for 25 years, retiring 18 years ago. Rose and her late husband were among the founding parishioners of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, being members since 1952. Rose has been an active member of the Rosary Society, Prime Timers and Cancer Sewing Group. Rose was a member of the Clifton Senior Leisure Club and was trip coordinator for Clifton Community Services. Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Donations made to either the Arcadia Bird Sanctuary, PO Box 171, Homasassa Springs, FL, 34447, or a charity of your choice, in memory of Rose, would be greatly appreciated.
