Rose Virginia (Failla) Giardino, 97, of Chestnut Ridge NY, formerly of Clifton, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2010. Daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Pangia) Failla, Rose was born in Hoboken, and lived in Clifton before moving to Chestnut Ridge in 2003.

A Seamstress for D & P Clothing in Clifton for many years, before retiring in 1972, Rose was a former member of the Friendship Club and the Has Been Club, both of Clifton.

Beloved wife for 72 years of the late Joseph who died 2003. Devoted mother of Dr. Vincent J. Giardino & his wife, Elaine of Woodland Park, and Anthony Giardino & his wife, Sophie, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Loving grandmother of Elaine Giardino & her partner Ana Diaz, of Garfield, Theresa Bronkowski & her husband Allan of Woodland Park, Donna Egan & her husband James of Monroe NY, Daniel Giardino & his wife, Michele of Mays Landing, Elena Cooper of Wharton, Joseph J. Giardino of Pompton Plains, Anthony C. Giardino of Pequannock, James Giardino & his wife, Carol, of West Long Branch, and Andrew Giardino of Pequannock. Cherished great grandmother of Allan, Kristina, Brian, Kyle, Vincent, Thomas, Jacob, Sidney, Julia, Ava and Mara. Dear sister of Josephine Macaluso and the late Larry, John, Carmelo, James, Anna, Antoinette, Millie & Sadie. Loving sister in law of Virginia.
