Ronald V. Birkner, 84, of Clifton, passed away on August 17, 2021. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Clifton and a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church. A US Army Veteran, Ronald was a mixologist for SmithKline Beecham where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 2001.

Beloved husband of the late Susanne (Kmetz) Birkner who passed away in 2000. Devoted father of Christopher Birkner and his wife Sandra of Clifton, Sherry Vitovic and her husband Paul of Sparta, and the late Ronald Birkner who passed away in 2014. Loving grandfather of Lauren Vanderbogart, Christopher and Alexis Birkner, Megan, Thomas and Ryan Vitovic, Jayme, Katie and Ronnie Birkner. Dear brother of the late Doreen Buffa.

Visiting Friday 6-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A prayer service will begin at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
