Roberto Rios, Sr.'s Obituary
Roberto Rios, Sr., 85, of Clifton, passed away on July 16, 2017. Born in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, he lived in Brooklyn for many years, returning to Luquillo for 11 years, before moving to Clifton.
Roberto worked for Maxwell House Coffee in Hoboken, and the Brooklyn Board of Education as a Senior Cafeteria Worker for many years.
Beloved husband for 63 years of Aida (Pena). Devoted father of Edwin and his wife Gloria of Brooklyn, Evette Rios-Ortolaza and her husband Luis of IL, Eric and his wife Vivian of Valley Stream, NY, Myrna Rios Guzman and her husband Carlos of Clifton, and the late Roberto, Jr., and Aida Rios. Dear brother of Jose and his wife Anna, and Rosita Carrasquillo and her husband Rafael. Loving grandfather of Lisa, Natalia, Robert, Edwin, Jr., Monique, Edwin, Yajaira, Regina, Ruben, Eric, Jr., Michael, Matthew, Richard, David and Jeremy. Cherished great grandfather of Julio, Daniel, Jacob, Steven, Acyus, Saiel, Sanyla, Alara, Jade, Caleb, Elisa, Ruben, Devin and Arianna.
Funeral Saturday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. Nicholas RC Church, Passaic. Entombment, Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Visiting Friday 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the NJ Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 , in memory of Roberto, would be greatly appreciated.
