Roberto "Rico" A. Acosta, 26, of Paterson passed away on July 5, 2023. Born in the Bronx, NY, Roberto was raised in Paterson, NJ, and lived there most of his life.  Roberto loved life and lived it to the fullest.  Affectionately called Roberto by his grandma, while everyone else knew him as Rico.  Rico had a passion for music and used his music to creatively express himself, he was a music star on the rise.

A devoted father of three whom he loved dearly Alaiya Acosta, Carter Acosta, and Kali Acosta. Beloved son of Roberto Acosta, Sr., and the late Erika Centeno. Roberto will be dearly missed by his grandmother, Daisy Marcano.  He was cherished by his brother, Arismendi Acosta, and his sisters, Jerika Melendez and Yeily Acosta.  Rico will forever live in the hearts of his nieces, aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visiting will be held as follows: Thursday, July 13, 2023 - 5:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ. Funeral - Friday, July 14, 2023 - 10:00 A.M. at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 381 Grand St, Paterson. NJ. Interment 12:00 P.M., Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ.
