Richard E. Muttel, 83, of Highland Lakes, formerly of Passaic, passed away on December 22, 2025. Born and raised in Passaic, he lived there before moving to Highland Lakes in 1992.

Rich was a Police Officer with the Passaic Police Department for over 25 years, retiring in 1994 and was a member of Passaic PBA Local #14. A parishioner of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, Rich proudly served his country in both the US Marine Corps and the US Navy, and was a member of the Marine Corps League Lakeland Detachment # 744.

Beloved husband of Theresa (Marks) Muttel. Dear brother of Robert Muttel, Geraldine Jenkins, and the late Grace White and John Muttel. Loving uncle of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
