Richard E. Guinther, Jr., 82, of Elmwood Park, passed away on February 18, 2026. Born and raised in Paterson, he was a resident of Elmwood Park for over 55 years.

A parishioner of The Church of St. Anne, Fair Lawn, Richard was a member of the  Elmwood Park-Paterson Elks Lodge 60. Richard was a proud Air Force Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War, he also served and retired from the NJ National Guard. Richard  was a Life Member and Past Commander of VFW Post 5084 and a member of American Legion Post 147, both in Elmwood Park.

Beloved husband of Joan (Papuzinski) Guinther. Devoted father of Richard E. Guinther, III and his wife Stacy, and Karen C. Clementi and her husband Joe. Loving grandfather of Gianna M. Celso and Skylar J. Clementi. Dear brother of Francis "Flip" Brown and Donald Guinther.
