Regina K. Bednarz, 95, of Clifton, passed away on November 27, 2018. Born in West Wyoming, PA, she lived in Wallington before moving to Clifton in 1958.
A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Regina was a Key Punch Operator for ADP in Clifton for many years. Regina was the Salutatorian of her high school class. Regina enjoyed singing in the high school choir, where she met the love of her life, Joseph, and her favorite song was Salve Regina. Regina and Joseph married on September 5, 1942 and celebrated 60 years of marriage before Joseph passed away in 2003.
Mom loved to play card games like Canasta and word games like Upwords with her family. She taught all her grandchildren how to play "piggie", the Devil, and Steal the Pile. She could usually be found with a crossword puzzle book in her hand or a copy of the Herald News. Mom was an avid NY Yankees fan and went to her first game in 2015 at age 92, but missed seeing her favorite player Mark Teixeira. They gave her a private tour of the Yankees Museum and upgraded her seats to behind home plate. Mom was a huge WWE fan and passed away to the soothing sounds of the ring bell and a table, ladder and chairs match.
