Raymond J. Cherniak, 99, of Pequannock, passed away on November 13, 2025. Born and raised in Wallington, he lived in Passaic before moving to Pequannock 67 years ago, and was a parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul's Polish National Catholic Church, Passaic. A US Navy Veteran of WW II, Raymond worked for the Herman Warehouse in So. Hackensack for 25 years and later worked for Thomas' Muffins in Totowa for 11 years before retiring in 1989.

Beloved husband of the late Leona Cherniak who passed away in 2013. Devoted father of Raymond J. Cherniak, Jr. and his wife Helen, and David P. Cherniak and his wife Alicia. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Caitlyn and Erin. Dear brother of Cecelia Kermick, Emily Pinksaw and the late Chester Cherniak.

Memorial Mass, Saturday, November 22, 2025, 10 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul's Polish National Catholic Church, 126 River Dr., Passaic. Cremation was private. Interment of ashes will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
