Rameshbhai Ranchhodji Vashi, born on July 20th, 1934, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026. Born in Saribujrang, India, he lived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe for almost 70 years before moving to the US.

Rameshbhai was a devoted husband to his late wife Manjulaben (Pushpa) Vashi with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Loving father to Beena and her husband Piyush, Alpa and her husband James, and Preeti and her husband Guido; caring grandfather to Nina and Aneri and her husband Yash. He was a pillar to the wider family, with strong family values.

Rameshbhai served his community in Bulawayo through the operation of O.K. Stores, the family business, and as an active member of the Bulawayo Hindu Society. He prioritized and proactively kept in touch with friends and family across the globe. An avid athlete, he enjoyed playing tennis, badminton, cricket and squash.

Over his 91 years, he faced life with strength and found joy in helping others. He will be remembered forever – his compassion, words of wisdom, and good humor will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013.

Cremation will follow at 11:00 a.m. at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014.
