Obituary

Ralph A. Aceto, 72, died peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic, on August 13, 2022 with his wife, Karen, at his side.

Ralph was born in Paterson and lived most of his life in Clifton.  He was employed by the City of Clifton DPW as an HVAC Mechanic for over 20 years before retiring in 2006.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen (Batynski) Aceto, his son, Tony Aceto and his wife Amy of Gulfport, FL, granddaughter Hannah Aceto of Tampa, FL, sisters, Patricia Farrington and her husband Miley of Bangor, PA, Jackie Phillips and her husband Lance of Petaluma, CA, Sharon Schiel and her husband Patrick of American Canyon, CA, and brother Kenneth.  Ralph also leaves behind nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Ralph could best be described as a "Character". He had a big personality, quick wit and always said what was on his mind.  He was funny, smart, and good-looking with an often-present mischievous twinkle in his blue eyes.

Ralph was an animal lover, especially big dogs and squirrels.  He loved hand feeding peanuts to his backyard squirrels and driving his dogs, first Lucky and later Cody, around town in his pick-up truck.  Ralph enjoyed camping and his once yearly trips to St. Pete Beach, FL, to enjoy time with his son.

Ralph was self-appointed block captain and kept an eye on his neighborhood. He could often be seen hanging out in his garage tinkering with broken AC units until he got them working again.

Ralph wished for his remains to be cremated and requested that no services be held.  He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
