Rajat H. Kamdar

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rajat H. Kamdar, beloved son of Himatlal and Hiraben Kamdar, on July 18, 2026, in New Jersey, at the age of 80.

Rajat was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Deeply spiritual and generous, he expressed his faith through his love and devotion to his family. His warmth, wit, honesty, and kind smile left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He treasured meaningful conversations, brisk walks in the cool breeze, and chai with ganthia.

Born in Limbdi, India, on June 21, 1946, Rajat completed his education and began his career before immigrating to the United States in 1977. Through hard work, resilience, and determination, he built a life filled with opportunity for his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Rita; his daughter, Reena; his son, Romit, and daughter-in-law, Parin; his cherished grandchildren, Abha, Niam, and Ovin; and many beloved family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 10AM-12PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave., Clifton.
