Rafaela "Carmen" (Sanchez) Husarenko, 72, of Clifton on July 26, 2010. Carmen, a homemaker, was born in San Turce, Puerto Rico, and lived in Brooklyn, Garfield, Wallington and Flanders, before moving to Clifton.

Beloved mother of Maria Van Ness and her husband John, and Walter, Jr. and his wife Loreta, all of Clifton. Devoted daughter of the late Elias L. and Maria (Pinero) Sanchez. Dear sister of Olga Husarenko and her husband Igor, Anthony Sanchez and his wife Eva, William Sanchez and his wife Judy, all of Fl., Edward Sanchez and his wife Marianne of TN, and the late Elias R. and Roberto Sanchez. Loving grandmother of Theresa and Christina Van Ness of Clifton, Anthony of Pennsville, Steven of PA., and Russell of Jacksonville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her former husband Walter, Sr., and his wife Cathy of Flanders.

Memorial Gathering Friday 5-6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Memorial Service at 5:30 PM. Cremation was private.
