It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Pushpavati Desai, 92, on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Born in Kisumu, Kenya, Pushpaben spent most of her life in between Kenya and India, raising 5 children with her late husband. She embodied the matriarch spirit, ensuring that not only her immediate family was loved and cared for, but rather the entire "tribe" of people that passed in and out of her life. Every person who had the privilege of meeting her was struck by her compassion, kindness, and wit.

Pushpaben will be greatly missed by her 4 surviving children (Jyoti, Asvin, Hemant, and Hema), 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 siblings, and countless family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at:
Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ.

Cremation to follow at 12:30 PM at:
East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave., Clifton, NJ.
