Peter Stopka, 90, of Clifton, passed away on October 9, 2026. Born in Skrzypne, Poland, he came to the US in 1972 and settled in Clifton. Before retiring in 2001, Peter was a machine operator for Missbrenner in Clifton for over 20 years. An active parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Peter served as an Usher for over 35 years, and was a member of the former Polish Rosary Society.

Beloved husband for over 58 years of Sophia (Krupa) Stopka. Devoted father of Sophia Roughgarden and her husband Troy, Donna Manfredo and her husband Ronald, Janina Leshik and her husband John, and Sabina Juba and her husband Nicolaus. Loving grandfather of Nicholas and his wife Ashley, Olivia, Jake, Isabella, Ronnie, Evan, Ashley, Alexa and Zachary. Cherished great grandfather of Sienna. Dear brother of the late Mary Skubisz, John, Stanley and Walter Stopka. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Poland and throughout the United States.

Visiting Monday, October 12, 2026, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
