Perry E. Baker, age 73, of Pompton Lakes passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Perry was born on April 4, 1949 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  He moved and grew up in Paterson, New Jersey.

Perry joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked for Wayne Township for 20 years as a Truck Mechanic.  After he retired, he worked part time for Wayne Clean Communities for 8 years.

Perry loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the New York Jets, and the New York Yankees, and he was very proud to be a Vietnam Veteran.

Perry is survived by his daughter Kathy and her husband Vicente Torres; His cherished grandchildren Francesca, Kasey and Savannah; His Brother Christopher and his Wife Rosemary and his sister Lisa Brewer; Family Friend Irma; and his many Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Alice, who passed away in 2009; and his daughters, Nancy who passed away in 2015 and Viola who passed away in 2017.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 6-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Presentation of Military Honors will be held at 7:45 PM at the funeral home. Cremation was private.
