Pedro A. Martinez, 94, of Clifton, passed away on July 12, 2015. Born in Colombia, he came to the US in 1973 and lived in Passaic and Paterson before moving to Clifton 11 years ago. Pedro was a Detective for the DAS (Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad) in Colombia for over 35 years. Pedro was a devotee of the Shrine of St. Jude at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Paterson, a former parishioner of St. Stephen's RC Church, Paterson, and enjoyed attending Sweet Home Adult Day Care. Beloved husband for 67 years of Ana (Toro) Martinez. Devoted father of Carlos of North Las Vegas, NV, Jaime of Passaic Park, Jairo and Fredy of Clifton, and Clara E. Arias of Clifton. Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great grandchild due in December. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation will be private.
