Pearl C. Wong passed away on January 9, 2026. She was born in Canton, China in 1926 and was predeceased by her husband, Fred, who served in the US Army during WWII. She and her husband were restaurateurs in NYC. She leaves behind three children: Leslie (Donna), Marilyn (John) and Raymond (Ana), along with three grandchildren: Natalee, Christopher and Emily, two great grandchildren: Zoe and Lillian, and her nephews and niece: Ken, May, and Wayne.

Pearl was highly intelligent and sociable; a tireless worker and provider who took great pride in overcoming challenges, and in achieving US citizenship and success in business. She loved people and had a unique talent for making friends with everyone she'd meet. She sponsored many families from her birthplace and assisted them in acclimating to life in the United States. Later, she volunteered her time at the YMHA for over ten years prior to relocating to NJ where she passed. Pearl's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed caring for them and organizing and celebrating special family occasions.

Pearl was strong and supportive, not only in making personal strides for herself, but in helping others by serving as a positive role model of wonderful character. She embodied courage, grace, humility, generosity, warmth and humor, and was a cherished family leader and friend  whose loving spirit will never be forgotten.

Visiting Monday, January 12, 2026 from 1-5PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 9AM. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
