Paula Maura Patiño, 100, of Passaic passed away on February 18, 2022. Born in Arequipa, Peru, she came to the US in 1975 and settled in Passaic. Paula was the owner/operator of El Comedor, a restaurant in Lima, Peru, for many years. She had a magnetic personality that drew people to her, even random strangers on the street would come up to her and chat for a while. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic, and recently was extremely proud to obtain her US citizenship. Above all things, Paula loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Devoted mother of Dora Ruiz of Passaic and Leonor Rodriguez of Lima, Peru. Cherished grandmother of Christian Ruiz, Leslie D'Angelo and her husband Mark, Ronald Ruiz, Jorge Zuñiga and his wife Amparito, Daniel Zuñiga and his wife Anne Marie, Ruben Zuñiga and his wife Carol, Gleny Zuñiga and Renato Zuñiga. Loving great-grandmother of Javier, Samantha, Anthony, Nicole, Ronald, Xavier, Noémi, Jorge, Veronica, Alejandro, Daniella, Alonso and Camilla and great-great-grandmother of Aubrey. Dear sister of Catalina Ramos of Lima, Peru, and the late Trinidad Patiño, Fausto Patiño and Jorge Patiño. Paula will also be missed by her extended family including Doraliz Garcia and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting Wednesday 4-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Thursday 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Carmel RC Church, Passaic, y recientemente estaba muy orgullosa de obtener su ciudadanía estadounidense. Sobre todo, Paula amaba a su familia y disfrutaba al máximo pasar tiempo con ellos.
