Paul D. Jakimec, 69, of Clifton passed away on June 27, 2026. Born in Passaic, he has been a resident of Clifton all his life.

After graduating from Paul VI High School, Paul proudly served in the US Air Force as a Missile Specialist at Minot AF Base. His military service was a formidable chapter in his life. He was honorably discharged in 1980. Following his time in the AF, Paul completed his higher education and earned a BA degree at William Paterson. Paul worked in outside sales for many companies over the years and retired in 2023 from Gulfeagle Supply in East Rutherford.

Outside of his professional life, Paul found joy in birdwatching. He was a diehard Red Sox fan and loved coaching his daughter's softball teams. Paul could also be found attending high school football games, especially if a friend's child was playing and riding around with his "little buddy", Fenway.

After he retired, Paul enjoyed a round of golf, an old- fashioned and a good cigar.

Beloved wife for 35 years of Diane (Manno) Jakimec. Devoted father of Stephanie Jakimec. Cherished brother of Steven Jakimec, Karen Conroy and her late husband Peter, and the late Mark Jakimec. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, and most recently, great uncle to Brady.

Visiting Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 4-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Thursday 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Atlantic Visiting Nurses Hospice,www.AtlanticHealth.org, in Paul's memory would be greatly appreciated.
