Paul Francis Devita's Obituary
Paul Francis DeVita, 52, of Clifton, passed away on September 17, 2016. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Clifton.
A parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church, Clifton, Paul was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Regina-Mundi Knights of Columbus Council # 3969, Clifton, the Msgr. Stein Assembly, the Knights of Columbus Immaculata Council, and the Clifton Republican Club. A Bus Driver for Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, for the past 7 years, Paul had worked in the Security Department of Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, for 27 years, as well as for Giresis Caters, Lodi, for many years.
Beloved husband for 24 years of Laura (Gerace). Devoted father of Paul Joseph DeVita of Clifton. Loving son of the late Louis, Sr., and Ann Marie (Timko) DeVita. Dear brother of Frank DeVita and his wife Michele of Nutley, Catherine Erikson and her husband Ian of Wayne, and the late Louis DeVita, Jr. who passed away in 2015 and the late Lucy Ann Pavan who passed away in February. Cherished son in law of Joseph and Rose Gerace. Dear brother in law of Joseph and Stephanie Gerace, Melissa and Jason Weber, Susan Deodino, Gregory Pavan and the late Mark Gerace. Loving uncle of Hayden, Brugge, Katy, Jeremy, Madison, Gianna, Genelle, Nicholas, Olivia, Mark, Christopher, Joseph, Jessica, Rocco, Kayla and Rebecca.
Funeral Wednesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will be private. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Lustgarten Foundation, or the American Heart Association, in memory of Paul, would be greatly appreciated.
