Pastor Frederick Shepherd, 92, of Towaco, passed away on December 2, 2015. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, he came to the US in 1993 and lived in Clifton before moving to Towaco in 1999.

Pastor Shepherd was the Pastor of the Clarkson Congregational Church in Georgetown, Guyana for many years. Pastor Shepherd was the Personnel Officer of the Ministry of Works and Hydraulics in Kingston, Georgetown, Guyana for 30 years, retiring in 1983, and later was the Director of Tapacuma Project, Essequibo, Guyana.

Beloved husband for 63 years of Sybil (Alexander). Devoted father of Margaret Reece and her husband Stuart of Towaco, Ian and his wife Velma of Queens, NY, Donald and his wife Pauline of Queens, NY, Odetta Shepherd of Guyana, and Tamara Vanderhyden of Queens, NY. Loving grandfather of Vonetta, Andell, Jermain, Tanya, Tatiana and Leotha. Cherished great grandfather of Jeremiah. Dear brother of Inez Chung of Canada.

Funeral Saturday 10 AM at the Episcopal Church of St. James, 581 Valley Rd., Montclair. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Saturday 8:30 AM until time of service in the church.
