Pankaj Gohel, 49, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2021, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born in Rajkot, India and grew up in North Bergen, New Jersey. He recently had moved to Raleigh to pursue a new job opportunity.

Growing up in India, Pankaj was always a bright student and scored highest in 12 ^th grade science in his hometown Rajkot, achieving new educational height. After moving to US in 1989, he earned his bachelors in Computer Science and Applied Math with national honors from New Jersey Institute of Technology (New Jersey).  After graduation, he joined the IT field and worked as a consultant for various finance and pharma companies over two decades, primarily in New Jersey and New York.

He is survived by his wife Ila, son Sunny, loving mother Manuben, siblings (Ajit, Pravin and Mital), nieces and nephew (Vishakha, Chandni, Shivani, Maahi, and Rahil), brother-in-law Milin, as well as the entire Gohel family and friends. He touched many lives in his short-lived life.

Funeral and prayer services will be held on Friday July 9 ^th from 10 AM to Noon at Shook Funeral Home located at 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton NJ, followed by cremation at 12:30 PM at East Ridgelawn Cemetery at 255 Main Ave., Clifton NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pankaj's memorial and Sunny's educational support fund.
