Nicolai Hansen, 91, of Clifton passed away April 1, 2010. Born in NYC, he lived there before moving to Clifton in 1955.

An Army Veteran of WW II, Nicolai was a Butcher for Grand Union in Clifton for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. A Life Member of American Legion Post # 69, Carlstadt, Nicolai was Past Commander, Past Vice Commander, Past Historian, Past Sergeant at Arms and Past County Commander.

Beloved husband for 62 years of the late Dorothy (Whitlow) who passed away in 2008. Devoted father of Dorothy Torley of Clifton, and Dr. Nicolai L. Hansen and his wife Janeese of Louisville, KY. Loving grandfather of Jaime Torley of Clifton.

Funeral Monday 11 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
