Nicholas A. Quintavella, 84, of Clifton passed away on September 13, 2011. Born in Paterson he lived there before moving to Clifton 53 years ago. A graduate of Eastside High School, Paterson, Nick was a Marine Corp Veteran of WW II and was Honorably Discharged in 1946. Nick was a Cost Estimator for Bendix Corp. in Teterboro and Singer-Kearfott in Little Falls for many years, retiring 17 years ago. Nicholas attended Mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, daily and was a fixture of the St. Philip Community. He was a Eucharistic Minister at both St. Philip's Church and St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic, as well as an Usher and 4th Degree Member of Knights of Columbus Council # 11671. An Avid NY Giants Fan, Nicholas was also a member of the NJ Real Estate Commission and enjoyed many summer vacations in Cape May. He will be greatly missed by all. Devoted father of Deborah Welch and her husband Lee of Wells, NY, Nicholas, Jr. and his wife Patti of Dover, twins Melissa Burke and her husband Frank and Michele Yagins and her husband Matthew, all of Clifton. Loving grandfather of grandchildren Jason Kemmet and his wife Kristy, Rachel Frasier and her husband Gene, Emily and Nicholas Peragallo, Paige, Peter and Peyton Yagins, and great grandchildren Tyler and Justin Kemmet, Landon Frasier. Cherished son of the late Angelo and Louise. Dear brother of Alexander of Clifton, and the late Joseph and Ann. Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
