Nelya (Sechevaya) Kovhankina, 85, of Clifton passed away on August 7, 2026. Born in Uzhur, Russia, Nelya came to the US in 2015 and first settled in Brooklyn before moving to Clifton in 2018. She was a Doctor for BMDC in Krivyi Rih, Ukraine for many years before retiring.

Beloved wife of the late Anatoly Kovhankin who passed away in 1995. Devoted mother of Olga Kovgankina and her husband Iurii Masalygin, and Sergiy Kovgankin and his wife Tetiana. Cherished grandmother of Daniel and Emily Kate Kovgankin. Dear sister of Ludmila Mazina and Zinaida Kovaleva.

Visiting Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 12:30-1:30PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Ave., Clifton.
