Nancy Sardo's Obituary
Nancy (Viola) Sardo, 89, formerly of Yonkers, passed away on May 21, 2017. Born in Tuchahoe, she lived in Yonkers before moving to Monroe Twsp, NJ in 2003.
Nancy, a homemaker, was a longtime parishioner of St. Bartholomew's RC Church, Yonkers. Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Frank M. Sardo (Ret. Deputy Chief Yonkers PD ) who passed away in 2009.
Devoted mother of Frank and his wife Linda of E. Windsor, NJ, Mark and his wife Cindy of St. Simon's Island, GA, and Carl and his wife Maria of Armonk. Dear sister of Anna Oswald of NC, Nicolina Sokol of NY, Bill Viola of NJ, and the late Isabel Opaciuch, Rose Stein and John Viola. Loving grandmother of Brian and his wife Alison Craskey, Lauren Childs and her husband William, Gary and his wife Amanda, Matthew, Christina and Michael. Ch er ished great grandmother of Sofia, Henry and Juliet.
Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, and 10 AM at St. Bartholomew's RC Church, Yonkers. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers. Visiting Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Sinatra Memorial Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, www.StJude.org , in Nancy's memory, would be greatly appreciated.
