Miryam Marin Ruiz, 79, of Clifton, passed away on January 26, 2024. Born in Colombia, she came to the US in 1986 and settled in Paterson before moving to Clifton 7 years ago.

Before retiring in 2006, Miryam worked for Paris Lace in Clifton and later D&M Tours in Paterson.

A parishioner of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Paterson, Miryam served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. A woman of faith, Miryam enjoyed volunteering at Mi Casa Es Su Casa, Paterson, St. Joseph's Hospital Pastoral Care, Paterson, Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Passaic, and lovingly referred to her friends in her church community as "My Angels". A kind and loving woman, Miryam loved everybody, and enjoyed reading, listening to music, playing guitar and photography.

Beloved sister of Cesar Augusto Marin of Katy, TX, and Aura Rocio Marin of Clifton. Loving aunt of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visiting Thursday, February 1, 2024, 6-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, February 2, 2024, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Paterson. Cremation will be private.
