Miguel Baquerizo, 86, of Passaic, passed away on January 1, 2025. Born in Peru, He traveled to the US in 1980 and settled in Passaic. In Peru, Miguel worked as a mechanic before coming to the US where he worked as a bookkeeper for the Passaic Public Library before retiring.

Beloved husband of Gloria Neyra. Devoted father of Liliana Baquerizo of Clifton, Monica Baquerizo, Miguel A. Baquerizo, both of Paterson, Oscar Baquerizo of Australia and Julio Renteria of Florida. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Jared, Isaac, Andrea, Andrew, Benjamin and Diego. Dear brother of Guillermo, Arnaldo, and Jose A. Baquerizo, Nella Caballero, Jorge, Paul, Rosa and Cesar Baquerizo. He will be greatly missed by his furry companion Sky.

Visiting Thursday, January 9, from 4 – 7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation will be private.

Miguel Baquerizo, de 86 años, de Passaic, falleció el 1 de enero de 2025. Nacido en Perú, viajó a los Estados Unidos en 1980 y se radicó en Passaic. En Perú, Miguel trabajó como mecánico antes de venir a los Estados Unidos, donde trabajó como contable en la Biblioteca Pública de Passaic antes de jubilarse.

Amado esposo de Gloria Neyra. Padre devoto de Liliana Baquerizo de Clifton, Mónica Baquerizo, Miguel A. Baquerizo, ambos de Paterson, Oscar Baquerizo de Australia y Julio Rentería de Florida. Abuelo amoroso de Christopher, Jared, Isaac, Andrea, Andrew, Benjamin y Diego. Querido hermano de Guillermo, Arnaldo y José A. Baquerizo, Nella Caballero, Jorge, Paul, Rosa y César Baquerizo. Su perrito, Sky lo extrañará mucho.

Velorio el jueves 9 de enero, de 4 a 7 PM en Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. La cremación será privada.
