Michael J. Sarapuchiello's Obituary
Michael J. Sarapuchiello, 96, of Washington Township, passed away on April 25, 2016. Born in Hackensack, he lived in Paterson, Wayne and Ramsey, before moving to Washington Township.
An Army Veteran during WW II, Michael and his wife were the owners of Julie's Lunchonette on Main Street in Paterson for 20 years. A Tile Setter by trade, Michael worked for Crews-Farrell-Mead Vault Co. in Wayne for many years, and for Okonite Cable in Paterson for over 30 years, retiring in 1984 . A member of the Knights of Columbus, Paterson, Michael enjoyed Ballroom Dancing.
Beloved husband of the late Julia (Abdelnour) who passed away in 1985. Devoted father of Noel Ligregni of Washington Township and Michele Frega of Boca Raton, FL. Loving grandfather of Vincent, Robert, Julian, Julia, and Anthony, and the late Noel Frega. Dear father in law of Doug Ligregni and Robert Frega. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Thursday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
If desired, donations made to the NJ Veteran's Home at Paramus, 1 Veterans Way, Paramus, NJ 07652, in memory of Michael, would be greatly appreciated.
