Michael J. Kormos, 74, of Clifton, passed away on April 21, 2017. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Clifton.
A US Army Veteran, Michael was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War, and was a member of Quentin Roosevelt American Legion Post #8, Clifton. An avid fisherman and good friend to many, Michael served as a Plant Manager for Spotless Cleaners for most of his career.
Beloved husband for 50 years of Mary Ann (Szwed). Devoted father of Jennifer Kormos and William Kramer of Hazlet, and Kimberly Cambria and Guy Ricker of Hackettstown. Loving grandfather of Mikenna Ricker. Dear brother of Marianne Avery of Verona, and Bob Kormos of Garfield. Dear brother in law of Joan Furtak of Wayne. Loving uncle of Peter Avery, Kristen Furtak, and Laura Avery.
Funeral Thursday 9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Visiting Wednesday 4-8 PM at the funeral home with a 'Celebration of the Life of Mike Kormos' at 7PM.
