Michael Canty, 61, of Paterson, passed away on February 13, 2023. He was born in Paterson on October 12, 1961 to Jarret and Clara Canty. During his life in Paterson, he attended public school and loved to play basketball, his dream was to be a professional player. Taking another direction in life, he would sit for hours at a time watching the basketball and football games. He loved and cared about his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Clara Canty Brown, his sisters Ruth and her husband Charles, and Judy and Clara of New Jersey. He also loved his nieces, Tasha, Capri, and nephew Sadiki, along with many cousins and friends. He will always be remembered as a star.
