Michael A. Balady's Obituary
Michael A. Balady, 96, of Fairview, passed away on March 9, 2017. Born and raised in Paterson, he lived in Hackensack before moving to Fairview.
A parishioner of St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, Woodland Park, Michael was a Machinist for Curtiss-Wright Paterson for 42 years, retiring in 1982. Michael was a US Army Veteran serving with the 98th Army Division in the pacific theater during WWII.
Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Sessa) who passed away in 1989. Devoted father of Dr. Michael A. Balady of Springfield, VA, and daughter in law Jeanette K. Balady. Loving grandfather of Kelly F. Koenig of Oakhurst, and the late Christen W. Balady who passed away in 2005. Loving companion of Pearl Stoeller. Dear brother of Joan Humphrey and her husband John of Burlington, NC, Gloria Altemus of Hawthorne and her late husband Stanley, and the late Mary, Rose, Charles, Albert, Alice, George and Lawrence.
Funeral Wednesday 11 AM at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 802 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting Wednesday 10-11AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donation made to the Christen Balady Memorial Fund, Wake Forest University, Office of University Advancement, Box 7227, Winston-Salem, NC 27109, in memory of Michael, would be greatly appreciated.
