Metro S. Hruby's Obituary
Metro S. Hruby, 89, of Clifton, passed away on January 21, 2017. Born in Uniondale, PA, he was a resident of Clifton since 1953.
A parishioner of Holy Apostle Eastern Orthodox Church, Saddle Brook, Metro was a longtime member of the Russian Liturgical Choir, Passaic. Before retiring in 1989, Metro was a Chemical Operator for Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley where he worked for 36 years.
Beloved husband of the late Elsie (Timko), who passed away in 2000. Devoted father of Metro M. Hruby and his wife Carol of Clifton, and the late Paul J. Hruby, who passed away in 2011, and his wife Deborah of Parsippany. Loving grandfather of Michael, Ashley and Rebecca. Dear brother of Lovey Klym of Forest City, PA, Michael Hruby of North Carolina, and Peter Hruby of Forest City, PA.
Funeral Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 9 AM at Holy Apostle Eastern Orthodox Church, 17 Platt Ave., Saddle Brook. Interment, Pleasant View Cemetery, Pleasant Mount, PA. Visiting Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 7-9 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Holy Apostle Eastern Orthodox Church, 17 Platt Ave., Saddle Brook, NJ 07663, in memory of Metro, would be greatly appreciated.
