Mercedes L. Inocencio, 73, of Clifton passed away May 1, 2021. Born in Manila, Philippines, she came to the U.S. in 1987, and lived in Passaic, before settling in Clifton for over 30 years. Mercedes worked as the Senior Operations Publisher for Hofmann La'Roche, in Nutley for over 20 years until she retired.

Her love of God and family were always first in her life, as she always cherished the times her family would all be together. She enjoyed cooking her famous "pancit" and ham for her family. Spending time with the Lord was also a predominant part of her life as she enjoyed reading God's word daily. Her love of shopping was indescribable as she could spend hours looking for that perfect something, whether it was for herself, family or friends. Her generosity was inexpressible as she ensured her family's needs were always addressed.

Beloved wife of Gregorio C. Inocencio for over 51 years. Devoted mother of five children, Maria Veronica Nieves and her husband Edgard of Little Falls, Jason Inocencio and his wife Sahlee of Livingston, Geneva Douglas and her husband Garfield of DE, Olivia Dasig and her husband Fred of Fair Lawn and Gomer Inocencio and his wife Jessica of FL. Loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren who were blessed to call her "Lola", Edgard, Jr., Christian, Aaron, Gabrielle, Andre, Adrian, Abigail, Andrew, Shane, Katherine and Jacob. Cherished great grandmother of Summer and Josiah.

She was predeceased by her brothers Guillermo and Arlindo Lapiguera of the Philippines. Dear sister of Amelia Lapiguera of FL. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
