Melissa Mirrer Newton, 47, of Hewitt, passed away on June 3, 2023. Born in Pompton Plains she was a lifelong resident of Hewitt. Melissa was a Certified Nurses Aide for Cedar Crest Senior Living Community in Riverdale and Milford Manor in West Milford for many years. In honor of her son, Aiden, she volunteered and was active with the National Kidney Foundation.
Beloved mother of Addison and Aiden Newton, devoted daughter of Laurie Mirrer, and dear sister of Jessica Mirrer, all of Hewitt. Also survived by husband Kenneth Newton of Wanaque, and half siblings Conrad and Emily Boddy of Kinnelon.

Memorial Gathering, Sunday, June 25, 2023, 4-6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation was private.
