Maurice Benoit (Ben) Mallet, 79, of Clifton, NJ passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on April 11, 2023.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Sonia, parents, Domicien and Florida Mallet, brothers Daniel and Jack. He worked as a custodian at Oradell Public Schools for 40 years. Ben raised his family in Little Ferry and following Hurricane Sandy he then lived in Clifton with his daughter and family.

He enjoyed collecting antiques and other oddities. He also was an avid gardener and grew various vegetables and trees in his yard. He enjoyed watching various history shows and reading magazines.

He is survived by his children, Richard C. Mallet and wife Pamela, grandchildren Rebecca and Brianna Mallet, daughter Jennifer M. Fay and husband Eric, grandchildren Jeffrey and Mariah Fay.

He was a loving grandfather for his four grandchildren, and celebrated many holidays and birthdays with them. He was a dear brother to Jimmy Mallet and his wife Kathy, Claire Fagan and her husband, Dallas, Diane Yotka and her husband Stan, Victor Mallet and predeceased by dear Sister-in Law Maria, and Gregory Mallet and his wife Kelly.

Ben was a man of few words but his presence will be missed, and he will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit.

A Mass of intentions will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 11AM at St. Paul's RC Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton.
