Matthew Kudlacik, 92, of Clifton, passed away on February 4, 2014. Born in Garfield, he lived most of his life in Clifton. A parishioner of St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton, Matthew was a Millwright for Curtiss-Wright in Wood Ridge for many years, retiring several years ago. Matthew was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp prior to serving in the Army during WW II, and was a member of VFW Post # 2867, Garfield, and the DAV Chapter # 2, Clifton. Matthew enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, cooking Sunday Dinners and listening to polka music. Beloved husband of the late Sophie (Murawski) who passed away in 2009. Devoted father of Monica Berdnik and her husband Sheriff Richard of Clifton, Matthew of Clifton, Robert and his wife Lisa of Parsippany, Marc of Belleville, and the late Joseph who passed away in 2011. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Ryan, Alyssa and Kevin Berdnik, Adam, Emily and Natalie Kudlacik. Dear brother of the late Florence, Stella and Ace. Funeral Saturday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Friday 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
