Matilda "Tillie" Desanko's Obituary
Matilda "Tillie" DeSanko, 94, of Clifton, passed away on April 6, 2021. Born in Hawk Run, PA, she came to New Jersey in 1942 and settled in Clifton.
A parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, Tillie was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post Ladies Auxiliary, Clifton, for many years.
Beloved wife of the late James, who passed away in 1984. Devoted mother of Michael and his wife Pauline of Clifton. Dear sister of Constance O'Dell of Munson, PA, and Bernerdine Mostyn of Hawk Run, PA. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Tillie's caregiver Jeannette Phillips.
Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Michael's Cathedral, Passaic. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Sunday 2-5 PM at the funeral home.
