Mary Ellen Moroses, 83, of Clifton, passed away on October 7, 2025.

Born in Newark, she lived there and in Kearny before moving to Clifton in 1972. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton, Mary Ellen was a Scientist at Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley for many years, retiring in 2014. Mary Ellen enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, traveling, crocheting, and knitting hats to give to newborns.

Mary Ellen was fiercely devoted to her family and her loyal canine companion, Harley. She showed immense courage and strength throughout her life.

Beloved wife for nearly 60 years of the late Richard Moroses who passed away in 2021. Devoted mother of Mary Jo Roszkowski and her husband Damien, Linda Jean Grant, and Richard Daniel Moroses and his wife Maria Cannataro. Cherished grandmother of Jake Roszkowski and his wife Chloe, Jesse and Luke Roszkowski and Marley Jane Moroses. Dear sister of Thomas Acton and his wife Carolyn, and the late Shelia Salamanca and her husband Richard. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Cherished Godmother of several Godchildren.

Visiting Friday, October 10, 2025, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday, October 11, 2025, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Clare's RC Church. Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
