Mary Ann (Slamiak) Cali, 73, of Garfield, passed away on February 21, 2013. Born in Wallington, she was raised in Garfield and lived in Howell for 10 years, returning to Garfield over 30 years ago. Mary Ann was a parishioner of Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. A Registered Nurse, Mary Ann worked at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge and Freehold Area Hospital for many years. Later, she was a Librarian for the Garfield Library for 15 years, retiring in 2001. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Cali, who passed away in 2004. Devoted mother of Sharon Amelio and her husband Paul of Clifton, and Virginia Cali and her companion Henri of Garfield. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Christopher, Marissa, Heather, Stefany and Harley. Cherished great grandmother of Shane and Cody. Dear sister of the late Fran Chap. Also survived by her Faithful Canine Companion "BC". Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield.
