Marlene Colin, 57, of Irvington, passed away on December 28, 2017. Born in Belladere, Haiti, she came to the US in 1986 and settled in East Orange before moving to Irvington in 1996.
A parishioner of St. Leo RC Church, Irvington, Marlene was a cashier at AMC Movie Theater in Mountainside for 10 years, retiring in 2009.

Beloved wife of Jean R. Brutus. Devoted mother of Christiane Chery of Irvington, Mardalina Colin of Florida, Rose D. Vernet of Newburgh, NY, Stevens Colin, Marylynn and Renette Brutus of Irvington. Loving grandmother of Makayla Michel, Gianna Guerrier, Caresse, Ariela and Kelvin Eugene, Ezra Brown and Lemont O. Branche. Dear sister of Madeleine her twin, Rose Marie, Marieloud, Flarette, Marleine, Louis, Antoine, Marcel, and the late Louis M. and Romaine.
Funeral Saturday, January 6, 2018, 9:30 AM at St. Leo RC Church, 103 Myrtle Ave., Irvington. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Following the interment, the family invites everyone to join them at The Garden Buffet, 1181 Morris Ave., Union, NJ. Visiting Friday, January 5, 2018, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and Saturday, January 6, 9:00 - 9:30 AM at the church.
