Marion Avallone's Obituary
Marion (Vander Wande) Avallone, 90, of Passaic Park, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on May 14, 2016. Born and raised in E. Rutherford, she was a resident of Passaic Park for many years.
A member of the Christ United Methodist Church, E. Rutherford, Marion was a lifelong employee of Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley, retiring in 1986. A member of the Garfield Senior Center and Clifton Seniors, Marion loved all types of flowers and flower arranging. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, crafts, playing Bingo, singing and line dancing, and was a fashionista.
Beloved wife for 43 years or Emil. Devoted mother of Sarah Scarpello of Fairfield, Robin Curci of Mooresville, NC, and the late Robert Nadler. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Edward Vander Wande, Catherine Kazmark and Christine Kwiatek.
Funeral Tuesday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Monday 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
