Mario J. Silvestri, 81, of Clifton passed away on November 23, 2025. Born in Castelbuono, Italy, he traveled to the US in 1958 and settled in Clifton. A proud US Army Veteran and member of the Athenia Veterans Post, Clifton, Mario worked as a barber all his life. He owned and operated Mario's Barber Shop on Van Houten Ave. in Clifton for many years where he would chat with customers about their families and local sports teams, especially the NY Yankees.

Beloved husband for 57 years of Concetta (Zingone) Silvestri. Devoted father of Vincenzo Silvestri and his wife Meredith, and Anthony Silvestri and his wife Colleen. Cherished grandfather of Evelyn, Claire, Ashley and Jacqueline Silvestri. Loving brother of Teresa Laterza and her husband Joseph. Dear brother-in-law of Carmela Cadicina, Giovanna Zingone, Olivia Bona and her husband Antonio, and Gino Tranello. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and customers.
