Marilyn Helen Sanson (Pavlick), 85, of Pompton Plains, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday April 6, 2024 at her home in Cedar Crest Village. Born in Passaic, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Modla) Pavlick and was raised in Wallington with her three brothers and one sister. She was the loving wife of the late Rudolph J. (Rudy) Sanson for 62 years.

Marilyn was a graduate of Wallington High School and Berkeley Secretarial School. She worked for several years for Hoffman LaRoche, where she met her husband Rudy. The couple eventually settled in Pines Lake, Wayne, where they lived for 37 years before moving to Cedar Crest Village.

Marilyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pompton Lakes. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and the many trips she took with her children and grandchildren. Her other hobbies included baking, crafts, and bowling. She particularly enjoyed entertaining her friends and family at their backyard pool in Wayne, and hosted countless barbecues and parties over the years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who took great joy in watching her children and grandchildren play sports and perform on stage.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jackie Sokol (late husband Wes) of Morris Plains and Susan Rentschler (David) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and four grandchildren: Tom and Tim Sokol and Christie and Sam Rentschler. Other survivors include her sister Ellen Koch of Little Falls.

Services will be held Sunday April 14th, 2024 at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
