Marie Elena Wolchko's Obituary
Marie Elena Theresa Wolchko (née Malady),
54, of Garfield, passed away on March 30, 2018. Born in Gaspe, Canada, she lived in Guttenberg and Hillsdale, before moving to Garfield.
B eloved wife of Matthew, devoted mother of Katherine and Loretta, loving daughter of Joseph and Marie Malady, (deceased), daughter-in-law of John and Irene Wolchko (deceased), sister of Gerry, John, and sister-in-law Mary, beloved niece of Loretta De Hay (deceased), loving cousin to Donna, beloved aunt of Marisa, Joseph, James, David and Matthew, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Employed for many years by Drs. Barbieri, Colameo, Berardo, and Wuebbles, with a wonderful interlude as "Mrs. W ", as a Kindergarten aide and Pre-K teacher at St Leo's School in Elmwood Park. A vivacious and loving friend to many, she will be missed by many more.
Funeral Friday 9:15 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10:30 AM at St. Leo's RC Church, Elmwood Park. Cremation will be private. Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Marie Elena has requested donations to a fund on behalf of her daughters.
