Marie (Saks) Gmyrek, 80, of Garfield passed away on February 1, 2014. Born in Garfield, she was a lifelong resident. Marie was an Office Manager for Chiropractic Health Center, Garfield, for 20 years before retiring several years ago. A parishioner of Ss. Peter & Paul RO Cathedral, Passaic, Marie was a member of the FROC there. Beloved wife of Fred Gmyrek. Devoted mother of Mark Gmyrek of Garfield, Joanne Tibaldo and her husband Domenick of Nutley, David Gmyrek and his wife Janet of Middlefield, CT, and Glenn Gmyrek and his wife Robyn of Midland Park. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren. Dear sister of Anne Majka of Garfield. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton. Interment, Ss. Peter & Paul RO Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home with Parastas at 7:30 PM.
