Marianna (Szatkiewicz) Kasica, 91, of Clifton passed away on January 13, 2022, just shy of her 92 ^nd birthday. Born in Wilno, Poland, she came to the US in 1963 and lived in Passaic, Garfield, Elmwood Park, Clifton, Basking Ridge and most recently Chatham. She worked for Sample Masters in Garfield for over 20 years before retiring many years ago.

Marianna was an exceptional gardener who loved spending all her spare time in her garden tending to her vegetables, fruits and flowers, especially her prized raspberry bushes. She was an avid reader who enjoyed her Polish romance novels and watching Spanish novellas. Marianna always made home cooked meals and was loved by her neighbors and caretakers. She loved applying her Nivea cream and always believed that it made her skin look younger. Of all the things she loved in life, most important to her was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great niece and nephew.

Beloved wife of the late Stanislaw who passed away in 1998. Devoted mother of Christina Keenan and her husband Brian of Clifton and Barbara Sokira of Basking Ridge. Cherished grandmother of Victoria, Dillon and Derek Keenan and Veronica and Adam Sokira. Dear sister of Janina Grajcewicz of Poland and the late Halina Ankudowicz and Jozef Szatkiewicz. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, especially Maria Bordzol and her husband Witold and their children Emily and Alex, and Barbara Polasinski and her husband Stanislaw and their son Mateusz. Dear sister in law of Joseph Kasica and his wife Maria of CT. Marianna will also be missed by her extended family in Poland and across the US.

Visiting Tuesday 4-7PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with a prayer service to be held at 6:30PM. Cremation will be private.
