Maria Pluta, 81, of Rocky Point, NY,  passed away on August 10, 2025. Born in Rzeszow, Poland, she came to the US in 1960 and lived in Wayne before moving to Rocky Point, NY five years ago. Maria enjoyed cooking, dancing and football. But, most of all, her greatest love was being a grandmother.

Beloved wife of the late Jakub Pluta who passed away in 2020. Devoted mother of Donna O'Reilly and her husband Thomas, Maria Pluta, Jakub Pluta and daughter in law Veronica, and the late Mark Pluta who passed away in 2016. Loving grandmother of Zachary, Connor, Jakub, Eric, Corinne, Isabella and Keeley. Dear sister of Julia Nieradka.

Visiting Friday, August 15, 2025, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday, August 16, 2025, 7:45 AM at the funeral home and 9 AM at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
