Maria Najda, 69, of Passaic, passed away on August 11, 2016. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, she came to the US in 1950 and lived in Mississippi, moving to Passaic many years ago.

A parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Passaic, Maria was a Secretary for Counter Creations in South Hackensack for 15 years.

Beloved daughter of the late Nicholas and Juliana (Hrycyk) Najda. Devoted sister of Helen Iannaci and her late husband Albert, Pauline Arslan, Irene Schafer and her late husband Joseph, Olga Converse and her husband Mark, Dorothy Surita and her husband Mickey, John Najda and his wife Bernadine, the late Michael Najda and his wife Patricia, and the late Juliana Najda. Loving aunt of Christina Schafer, Lisa Golden and her husband Gary, Maryellen Najda and her fiancé Mario, Juliana Najda, Michael Najda and his girlfriend Stephania, Zachary Najda and Nicholas Najda. Cherished great aunt of Harry and Atilana Golden.

Funeral Saturday 8:15 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9:30 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Passaic. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Friday 6-9 PM at the funeral home, Parastas at 8 PM.
